A Spirit Bear adorned with Indian Paintbrush flowers.
The Spirit Bear is a rare subspecies of the Kermode black bear that lacks pigmentation and so appears white. These beautiful creatures live in the Great Bear Rainforest on the Pacific Coast of British Columbia.
This needle felted spirit bear was created using the process of needle felting and is made of 100% wool. She was meticulously built, layer upon layer, using a natural white for her body, and dark brown for her eyes and nose. She was then detailed with greens, pinks, and orange wool to create the Indian Paintbrush floral image that adorns her side.
This spirit bear measures 4″ high and is 6″ long. She stands freely and contains no armatures of any kind.
