This year, Beekman 1802 celebrates the 10th Annual Beekman 1802 Harvest Festival. Join in this spirit of homecoming. Every vendor and artisan who has ever been part of their Beekman Neighborhood is welcomed back with open arms, and they look forward to what they are sure will be a joyful reunion!
Shop the Beekman 1802 Mercantile and then explore the mini villages, of which New York Makers is a part of, around town to find one-of-a-kind, handmade, artisan wares from over 100 makers across the country. There will also be areas dedicated to live music, festival food, and activities for all ages.
You can find my booth in the New York Makers village, with needle felted sculptures, felting kits, wet felted scarves, and more!
I’m also teaching a workshop on the second day of the festival! Join me in the New York Makers Village to make a Wet Felted Geode! Information and tickets available here.
Dates + Times: Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15 from 10 am – 5 pm. Rain or shine.
Join us for a special Mother’s Day themed felting workshop for parent and child! In this beginner friendly workshop, you will get to choose your favorite colors from a beautiful assortment of wool as you learn how to transform these colorful bits of wool fluff into beautiful felted flowers! Wet felting is a process that requires only soap, water, wool, and your hands to create felt; so unlike needle felting, there are no needles involved, making this a great activity for adults as well as children. Each pair of participants will work together to create their flowers. All materials are included, and you’ll leave the workshop with two beautiful flowers to take home just in time for Mother’s Day.
This activity is best suited for children ages 6 +, but younger children can also participate with help from their parent!
Please note that the ticket price includes registration for 2 people (1 parent and 1 child). Want to register more than one child? Simply purchase your ticket here, and leave a note at checkout with how many participating children you will be bringing in total. We’ll reserve them a spot now and get them registered the day of the workshop when you come in! Each additional child is $10.
Date: Friday, May 10
Time: 4:00 – 5:30pm
Location: Grey Fox Mercantile – 70 Genesee Street, New Hartford, NY 13413
A selection of my work is included in this beautiful exhibit at Nahcotta Art Gallery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
About Enormous Tiny Art:
“Our Enormous Tiny Art show, now in its 11th year, is a year-round exhibition both online and in our gallery, wholeheartedly devoted to showcasing wonderful, irresistible, and entirely original tiny art. The Enormous Tiny Art aim is, and always has been, to give art lovers, whether you’re just starting out or adding to an already impressive collection, the ability to acquire original, well-curated, small works of art.
Hundreds of individual pieces of tiny art, each piece ten by ten inches or smaller and made by artists all over the globe, are available for perusing and purchasing here on our site, and we’re regularly adding new artists to our Enormous Tiny Art roster. During our in-house Enormous Tiny Art exhibitions in September and March, even more work of the diminutive and creative sort is available online and on our gallery walls!”

“Learn about the process of making, get inspired, and prepare to be wowed as you meet and shop more than 550 of the best jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home decor artists from across the country – including a juried showcase of talented emerging artists – at the American Craft Show in Baltimore.”
After running Grey Fox Felting for four years, I’ve decided to expand my business into Grey Fox Mercantile, a collaboration between my husband and me, and our first brick and mortar storefront! We’ve located a perfect location in our hometown of New Hartford, NY, we’ve signed the lease, and we’ve started working on the 700 square feet that will become our retail and workshop space.
In this space, we plan to offer our full in-house line of felting kits and original felted animal sculptures, the beautiful selection of felting wool in virtually every color imaginable that you’ve come to know through our online presence, as well as a curated selection of handmade goods by artisans we love. We will host free craft nights for the community, and we will offer workshops and fiber arts-based birthday/special occasion parties for guests of all ages. We’re working really hard to transform this space to make it a truly unique place to learn about fiber arts and find beautiful artisan goods.
We’re planning to open this spring, and we can’t wait to welcome you! If you’d like to follow along on our progress, you can find us on Instagram @greyfoxmercantile and @greyfoxfelting
