Upstate Art Collective Pop-up Gallery: 6/2/26 - 8/2/26

Enjoy the colorful work of two New York fiber artists: Erin Gardner of Grey Fox Felting and Alison Altafi of Loominarium Fiber Art. On display thanks to Upstate Art Collective + Emerson Ave Coffee through August.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.

Art by the Lake at Fenimore Art Museum - 8/8/26

Take in the view of Otsego Lake in scenic Cooperstown as you enjoy a selection of beautiful and varied work by New York artists at the Fenimore Art Museum's annual outdoor art fair. Erin and John Gardner, co-owners of Grey Fox Felting, will each be there to share new work!

Needle Felted Meadow + Mountains Workshop at Fenimore Art Museum - 8/15/26

Discover your new favorite hobby as you learn how to create your own unique landscape completely out of wool! In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basic techniques of needle felting, as you are guided in creating a colorful meadow of flowers. Using a sheet of wool felt as the canvas, you'll learn how to layer colors and create different textures and shapes by making repeated pokes with a special felting needle. You'll leave the class with a beautiful work of art, framed in a 4" wood embroidery hoop and ready to hang on your wall!

Ages 12+ are welcome!

Needle Felted Sweater Bear Workshop at Sheep and Wool Festival - 10/18/26

Discover your new favorite hobby as you learn how to create your own unique sweater bear completely out of wool! In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basic techniques of needle felting, as you are guided in creating a three-dimensional bear with a colorful wool sweater. You'll learn how to sculpt the wool and layer colors to create your bear by making repeated pokes with a special felting needle. You'll leave the class with an adorable needle felted bear, all cozy in their sweater and ready to display in your home!
