Needle Felted Meadow at Connected Stitches Fiber Arts Retreat - 6/27/26
Learn how to create a landscape entirely out of wool in this beginner-level workshop! Participants will be introduced to the process of needle felting and guided step-by-step as they create needle felted meadows full of flowers. For this project, we'll be using a sheet of pure wool felt as the canvas. Colorful bits of soft wool will then be attached using a felting needle. Participants will learn how to create different flower shapes and be able to select from a rainbow of colored wool to make a felted meadow that is uniquely theirs! We'll complete our meadows by framing them in 4" wood embroidery hoops, so they will be ready to take home and display.

Art by the Lake at Fenimore Art Museum - 8/8/26

Needle Felted Flower Meadow Workshop at Fenimore Art Museum - 8/15/26
Discover your new favorite hobby as you learn how to create your own unique landscape completely out of wool! In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basic techniques of needle felting, as you are guided in creating a colorful meadow of flowers. Using a sheet of wool felt as the canvas, you'll learn how to layer colors and create different textures and shapes by making repeated pokes with a special felting needle. You'll leave the class with a beautiful work of art, framed in a 4" wood embroidery hoop and ready to hang on your wall!
Ages 12+ are welcome!

You'll learn how to sculpt the wool and layer colors to create your bear by making repeated pokes with a special felting needle. You'll leave the class with an adorable needle felted bear, all cozy in their sweater and ready to display in your home!
