Felting Needles - Variety Pack of 9

We are happy to offer our favorite, durable felting needles, color coded for your convenience.

This sampler pack includes 1 of each of the 9 different felting needles we carry:

36 gauge Triangle: fast felting, great for starting sculptural projects

36 gauge Spiral/Twist: fast felting, great for starting sculptural projects

38 gauge Triangle: all-purpose needle, use for sculpting, 2D work, and even basic detailing

38 gauge Spiral/Twist: all-purpose needle

38 gauge Cross Star: efficient felting, great all-purpose needle, excellent for 2D work

40 gauge Triangle: detailing and smoothing/finishing surface

40 gauge Spiral/Twist: detailing and smoothing/finishing surface - minimizes appearance of needle marks

40 gauge Reverse: barbs face reverse direction to pull fibers out rather than pushing them in - used to create fluffy effects or long fur/hair

42 gauge Triangle: extra fine details and smoothing/finishing surface


Needles are industrial grade steel, measuring 3" long. Each needle has 6 - 9 barbs (two - three per side, depending on the type of needle) with staggered spacing for reliable and efficient felting action.

As needle felters, we know how easy it is to lose track of the different sized needles that are in our collections, no matter how organized we strive to be. This is why we have color coded our needles!
Needles are wrapped in tissue paper and packaged with care inside a handy paper tube with a color coding key for convenient storage, and easy reference.
